Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have itching in the anus with little pain, and I am applying Sucral Ano cream for one day. Sometimes I face constipation, but I faced these symptoms two years back. What do I need to do more? Do I need to take any antibiotics? Do I need to apply Elocon ointment there for itching?

Answered by Dr. Madhav Tiwari

Hello,

Please continue to apply Sucral Ano (Sucralfate and Metronidazole) twice a day for five to seven days. It should settle your problem.

For itching, please apply Calamine lotion once in the afternoon for one week.

For prevention:

1. Please drink 10 cups of fluids per day.

2. Eat a high-fiber diet.

3. If you are constipated, please take a stool softener syrup Looz 20 ml per night.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
