Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have an anal itch which is more predominant at night. I am not diabetic. What treatment should I take?

Answered by Dr. Shama Naaz

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Anal itching can be due to infections like fungal or bacterial, improper hygiene, or allergy. You can apply Hydrocortisone 1 percent cream at night time for five days. Follow up after five days. Keep the area clean and dry. I hope this helped. Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply. I followed your suggestions. Now I have a rash on the side of my torso for the last three days, which is itchy. I do not have diabetes or hypertension. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can wear loose cotton clothes. Remain in a well-ventilated place. These types of skin lesions increase with sweat and friction. Apply Momate cream (Mometasone Furoate) over the bumps twice daily for five days. Use a mild, gentle shower gel, pat your skin dry, or use a very soft towel to dry off. Sleep on the other side (away from the rash side). Change bed sheets regularly. Look for any triggers that increase these rashes, any food items, clothes, plants, etc., and try to avoid their contact.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
