Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been worried about myself lately, and I can not stop thinking about whether I will be fine. I have been getting palpitations for three months. One day, as usual, I was in my room, when my heart started beating fast. I had a similar experience the next evening. I was so scared that I went to the emergency room. They kept me there for five hours. They did many tests and said that I was fine. I have been getting symptoms like chest pain, left arm pain, twitches in the left side of my chest, and dizziness. I have been taking some pills whenever I have chest pain, though my doctors have not suggested it to me. The doctors told me to visit a health place for kids, and I have already gone to the appointment. I am only 18 years, and why is all this happening?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I am sorry to hear of what you are going through. You are having issues with anxiety. It makes you have symptoms like palpitations, chest pain, etc. It is not dangerous but scary. I usually do not prescribe medications at first. I suggest some lifestyle changes like regular exercise, avoiding coffee or smoking, eating healthy, and sleeping six to seven hours a day. If you do not get better after a month of lifestyle changes, you should see a doctor.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
