Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
When I am in a quiet room and concentrate sometimes I hear very low sound in my ear. I have observed that this is the same sound we get when we cover our ears with finger or hand. I thought it was because of wax build-up, so I got many ear tests done, which all came back normal. Is this because I am anxious and stressed sometimes? I concentrate a lot on such minor stuff. Sometimes, I concentrate on a dark surface and see certain things moving, but my eye tests also came back normal. Am I too anxious?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
This is quite common for individuals with anxiety. Probably, this might be an early manifestation of an anxiety neurosis. Do not be in a negative mood with what I said. At this stage, it is easy to manipulate it by proper counseling by a senior psychiatrist. Do not worry, as I do not think it is very serious. It is very common nowadays in a stressful life. Do consult a psychiatrist and take counseling, it will help you for sure.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
I am already taking anxiety medicine. So you mean, this sound and other minor stuff are normal physiology of the human body and nothing to worry about?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
It is a part of the same anxiety problem. They are not normal physiology. As you are on medicines, it might improve in future.
