Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I recently went for an annual health checkup. I was diagnosed with a heart defect (ASD) and was recommended a surgical closure. In this regard, I need your opinion and guidance.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As per your tests reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity), you have ASD (atrial septal defect), which is corrected only by surgical closure. It is usually asymptomatic but, when the symptoms start, it will be too late for a surgery. At the most, you can consult another cardiac surgeon and finally go for a surgery. Do not worry. You will be alright. Take care of your high triglycerides.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am regularly doing yoga and light exercises. Should I continue with that? How many days after the surgery can I start working normally?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can continue doing yoga and light exercises. Within a month, you can start working. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
