Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My wife has conceived after IVF treatment and is three months pregnant. She has abdominal pain due to stress and is taking Injection of Lonacort and tablet Aspirin on alternate days. She is having abdominal pain today. Can she take tablet Aspirin?

Kindly advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your post and understood your concern.

Tablet Aspirin (Acetyl Salicylic Acid) is given in IVF (in vitro fertilization) pregnancies for the betterment of the mother and baby. One of tablet Aspirin’s side effects is gastritis and stomach upset symptoms. So, I suggest she take tablet Aspirin after dinner at bedtime. If gastritis persists, she can take tablet Pan 40 (pantoprazole) once a day on an empty stomach. Also, she must drink plenty of water and avoid spicy food.

Hope this answers your question.

Feel free to reach out with any further questions.

Thank you.
