Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a sudden sprain in my lower back recently, and it is paining. I did X-ray and MRI. Doctors said that I have lumbar spondylotic change. At my lumbar spine, there is compression from the L2 to L5 region. I am unable to sit for long. After sitting for 15 minutes constantly, when I get up, I cannot stand properly due to pain in my lower back. The pain is radiating in my left leg, also. Please help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You do not mention an injury, and from your description, it is obvious that this is the first episode of such pain. It is highly unusual for a person of 28 years of age to be diagnosed with lumbar spondylosis with L2 to L5 compression. Please send me the MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) films and also send the X-ray report.

I still feel that you can easily be treated with core exercises, proper posture while sitting, and anti-inflammatory tablets.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
