Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had bad back pain for a long time. But about two months ago, I injured my back badly. And they said my intervertebral disc was thinning. But recently, a new doctor says I have spondylolysis. I cannot sit down for more than 30 minutes. It starts hurting a lot. I could not even walk properly about a month ago, but now I can walk. Standing for a long period is also a problem but does not bother a lot. Can you help me with the diagnosis?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
What do you do, and how much physical activity you have in your daily routine?
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I used to play football before, but right now, I can only stretch and walk.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Most of the back pain at your age is due to the wrong posture and lack of physical activity. We have only muscles to support our spine.
To prevent your back pain in the future, you need to inculcate three things in your lifestyle.
1. Proper posture.
2. General conditioning exercise. I recommend 45 minutes of walking daily at a stretch.
3. Back strengthening exercise.
To alleviate your pain now, you can take pain killers. In the last, I would like to tell you that your x-ray shows nothing (attachment removed to protect patient identity). They are normal. So do not get them repeated again.
