Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had red dots on my penis for three weeks. They are not painful or itchy. I had oral sex about a month ago with someone who did not have similar symptoms. Also, I tried a new masturbator toy and a lubricant about three weeks ago, after which I noticed the red dots. They are getting worse with hot weather. I have used Canesten anti-fungal cream for about a week. What can be the cause?

Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern and would be happy to help. You have balanitis, which is an inflammation of the glans penis. The likely cause is a bacterial infection due to oral sex. I suggest you take tablet Augmentin 1 gm (Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid) twice daily for a week, and cream Fucidin (Fusidic Acid) to be applied to the penis thrice daily for a week. Consult a specialist doctor, talk to him or her, and start the medicines with their consent.

I hope this helps. Kindly revert in case of further questions.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the response.

How do I get a prescription for the above medicines?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have to consult a local doctor for the prescription. However, the cream is available OTC (over-the-counter).

I hope this helps.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
