Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My doctor told me that I have balanitis. He prescribed Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone cream, Itraconazole capsules (one capsule every day) and Levocetirizine dihydrochloride (one tablet for every night) for 10 days. I have finished all medicines in 10 days. First three days, I felt that I have benefited, but still I am not cured. Why?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
The treatment which you are taking is entirely correct. Continue it for another two to three weeks. Undergo a test for diabetes as balanitis is a recurrent problem in a diabetic patient. Also, please attach some photo of the area so that it will be easy to diagnose the condition and provide effective treatment.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for replying.
My sugar is normal and I do not have diabetes. Do I need to continue those prescribed medicines?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Yes, continue the same treatment for the next two weeks. I suggest a few changes. Consult your doctor, discuss with him or her, and take treatment with consent.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor.
Thank you for your reply.
Shall I stop using Candid-B cream? Please see the pictures attached.
Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Yes, I have seen the photos (attachment removed to protect patient identity).
Candid cream contains Clotrimazole only. So, there is no need to apply Candid-B, which is a combination of Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
