Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have a lump on my uvula. When I drink water, the swelling goes down, but it comes back after a while. Kindly help me.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern. I have gone through the pictures you have attached (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). However, better assessments can be done if you can answer the following questions:
1. Do you have pain at uvula?
2. Do you have a cough, cold or sore throat?
I wish you good health. Thanks.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Four days ago, I had a sore throat and got a cold last night. I have not had a cough.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I think you must be having a bacterial infection (upper respiratory tract infection). Better assessments can be done if you answer the following questions.
1. Did you take any medications?
2. Do you have a fever, body ache, weakness, or fatigue?
3. Do you have any antibiotic or antihistamine medication with you?
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I did not take any medication. Can you prescribe some medication that is available in my area? I do not have a fever or body ache, but I have been fatigued.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Since you do not have any fever, no antibiotic is required. However, I suggest you take the following medications:
1. Take painkiller like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.
2. Take Multivitamin tablets twice daily.
3. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
4. Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation four to five times daily.
I hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. I wish you good health. Thanks.
