Is it normal to bleed on the second occasion of sex?

Hi doctor,

I am 18 years old. I am on the contraceptive pill and have started my second month by last week. Two weeks ago, I had sex for the first time and bled during and after sex. But, thought nothing of it as it was normal. Then, I had my period on my pill free days. When I had sex yesterday, I bled again for the second time. Is this normal?

Although most girls have one time bleeding during sex, a few of them report multiple bleeding during early years of sexual life. I mean to say that it is entirely normal to have to bleed on the second occasion.

In case the bleeding remains persistent even after use of multiple positions, and there is pain during intercourse, then I will suggest you see a doctor or report back to me for further guidance.
