Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My mother developed blisters with pus covering her entire body. Most of these blisters have healed due to medication, but some remain on her legs. This persistence is likely because she stands for extended periods while cooking and has scratched those areas, leading to swelling. The doctor recommended tests, revealing that her urine contains microscopic red blood cells at a rate of 15 to 20/hpf and a serum creatinine level of 1.2. Notably, she typically consumes minimal water, but after reviewing the reports and increasing her water intake, there has been an improvement in the color of her urine.

Please help. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I do understand your concern.

Please do not be alarmed.

  1. The HbA1c levels are elevated.

  2. Blood sugar levels are within the normal range.

  3. Vitamin B12 levels are deficient.

  4. Serum calcium is low.

  5. Phosphorus levels are elevated.

  6. Urine reports indicate a urinary tract infection (UTI).

  7. Serum creatinine is slightly elevated.

Could you provide details regarding her current medications, including doses?

In the interim:

  • Encourage her to drink ample water daily.

  • Recommend she consume neem leaf juice every morning on an empty stomach for the next three months.

Prescription:

  1. Tablet Ceroxim (Cefuroxime and Clavulanic Acid): 250 milligrams, one tablet twice daily.

  2. Syrup containing ayurvedic herbs: 0.68 fluid ounces mixed in 6.76 fluid ounces of water, to be taken three times daily.

Administer the above medications for seven days while continuing her current medication regimen. Post the seven-day period, we will consider introducing additional medications. If you have any clarifications, doubts, additional questions, or follow-up inquiries, please feel free to ask again at icliniq website. Wishing you better health.

Thank you.
