Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My sister, 13 years old, is experiencing body odor issues, which is causing her distress and ridicule at school. She inquires with our parents about her scent, and they assure her it is fine. However, I have noticed she does not smell pleasant, even though it is not coming from her underarms. She maintains good hygiene, showers daily, and uses effective antiperspirants and deodorants. She does not appear to sweat excessively, so I suspect it might be related to her hormones. Please help.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I suggest getting an ultrasound of your lower abdomen and hormonal tests to check for PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) and hormonal imbalances. Also, assess your vitamin B12 and D3 levels, as deficiencies in these vitamins can lead to similar symptoms.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
