Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have itchy bumps located on right breast with blisters filled with pus.

Please help.

Hi,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.

Could you please attach a picture of the affected area? Are you experiencing any pain? Are you sexually active or in close contact with others, or do you share clothes? If the symptoms consist of multiple small vesicles aligned or grouped together, containing clear fluid instead of pus, it is likely a herpes infection. In this case, antiviral medication like Acyclovir or Valacyclovir would be recommended. Since it is within 72 hours of onset, it is advisable to seek a prescription for antiviral medication as early treatment yields better results. Herpes infections typically begin with or may develop into pain. If there is a single swollen area with demonstrable clear pus or drainage, it could indicate a bacterial infection requiring antibiotics such as Augmentin, often associated with redness or tenderness. Regardless of the cause, medication will be necessary, so it is important to seek a prescription after examination.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I have attached the files.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read and understand your concern.

There are two large bumps and multiple small clear fluid filled bumps over those large bumps called as vesicles (attachment removed to protect patient identity). So, here the possibility is of herpes. So, you should get it examined and confirmed by local physician, get prescribed antiviral like Acyclovir or Valacyclovir from your physician. Keep the area as dry as possible. Do not rub it or try to break those vesicles as they are infective and it may spread locally. It may easily spread to others so take precautions. In most of the patients, it resolves on their own even without antiviral treatment but its recommended to have especially in you as it is early in the stage.

Looking forward to your response in order to help you.

Thank you.
