Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have two issues.

  1. My breast is very sensitive, it hurts and seems bigger.
  2. While having sex, I feel pain inside my vagina at one precise spot (in the bottom on the side), like a burning sensation that does not go away.

I did a blood check-up for sex sickness a few times ago and all was good. I had genital herpes. I take Valtrex every day.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

1) Breast pain can be due to mastitis like inflammation or infection of breast tissue. It could be from an underlying tumor as well. For that, your breast palpation should be done by a doctor to check for any mass or tumor if present. If it is simple inflammation on examination then anti-inflammatory medication can be prescribed for five days.

2) You are having genital herpes. It can lead sore and it can hurt. So examination for soreness should be done. Your pain is because of sexual activity and if the pain is inside the vaginal wall as per mentioned history then per speculum examination should be done to look for any redness or ulcer if present. If needed gynecologist will investigate further with pelvic ultrasound. Consult with your specialist and take the medicine as prescribed.

Thank you.
