Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been having breathing problems for the past six months. It all started on a day when I had some blood drawn for some tests. After this, I went to a swimming pool about 40 minutes later and felt that my breathing was constricted. Today I am still having problems with my breathing. It just feels like my chest is constricted. When I try to take a deep breath, it feels like something is resisting. Furthermore, my digestion is different than before. I still have bowel movements, but it is just different. And whereas before I used to have a floating stool, now it all sinks. I had an X-ray done two times, and none of them could see anything. Please help me. What should I do?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I have gone through the detailed history you have given. By your history and description, we should definitely rule out bronchitis. And for this, we need PFT (pulmonary function test). The possibility of bronchospasm due to bronchitis is more likely. Any smoking habit? Any allergies?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply!

I forgot to mention that I actually did a PFT (pulmonary function test). They told me that the result was good, that it was even better than for most people around my age. I do not smoke. However, my problems started soon when the air quality was very bad. I have no allergies.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thanks for your follow-up question on icliniq.

  1. Do you have that PFT report? I want to see it.
  2. Was any small airway defect noted?
  3. And any abnormal sound from the chest while doing a stethoscope examination by a doctor?
  4. Any stressor in your life? Stressful lifestyle? Anxiety?

Please reply to me with answers to the above-asked questions so that I can guide you better.
