Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
For the past couple of months, I have noticed that after sexual intercourse (protected) or masturbation, I get these red bumps on my scrotum that feel like a tiny ball. They usually do not cause any pain, and I can tell they are not attached to the testicle. If I do not masturbate for a couple of days, they will go away but come back again if I masturbate. I have not been able to find much information on this issue. Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
There is no relation between masturbation or ejaculation and skin bumps or rashes. I want to reassure you that if those rashes are painless, not itching, and disappear by themselves, it is nothing serious. I also would prefer to look at pictures of the lesion to clarify the diagnosis.
I will wait for your follow-up with pictures to help you further.
Kind regards.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your reply. The bumps showed up again, and I was not even sexually active. There are two small spots on my left testicle that feel like a small ball if I feel around them. They are painless, but sometimes they cause discomfort. They are not attached to my testicles, but they are on the skin of the scrotum. I have attached a copy of the pictures below.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have gone through the pictures that you have attached (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). The bumps are called boils that are caused due to infection and inflammation of the hair follicle. Antibiotics like Ampicillin will be the best treatment option. Therefore, I recommend tablet Augmentin (Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid) 1 gm, twice daily for seven days.
Kind regards.
