Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My arm got burned 15 days back from the silencer of my bike. I applied cream over it, but the wound did not heal, so I had to take tablets. Also, I applied coconut oil and medicine powder to it, but still, the wound has not healed. There is pus, itching, and pain. Kindly suggest me the treatment for the same.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms are most likely due to an infected wound which causes bad healing and may lead to a permanent scar. In addition, the bacterial infection may spread to other nearby tissues. Therefore, I would suggest the following:

1. Apply Bacitracin spray (Bacitracin Zinc) thrice daily for two weeks.

2. Follow-up is required to confirm the diagnosis and to exclude any serious conditions.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
