Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a sensation of burning in the anus and vagina. An ultrasound scan was done and a urine culture was also done. I have a UTI and a Bartholin cyst. The culture grew E. coli. As regards medicines, I have taken Urispas, Candid-V6 for 10 days. I also took Voveran injections two times because of pain. How can I be helped?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your post.

  • You have not mentioned the sensitivity of E. coli (Escherichia coli) on urine culture. Anyways you will have to take antibiotics. I will advise the following medicines.

  1. Tablet Zifi O (Cefixime and Ofloxacin) in morning and evening for one week.
  2. Tablet Zerodol Spas (Drotaverine and Aceclofenac) in morning and evening for three days.
  3. Tablet Fluconazole 150 mg once daily for three days. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and with their consent take the above medicines.
  • These meds should settle your issues.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Are Urispas and Zerodol Spas are the same? I forgot to mention that I am taking Forcan 150 mg and Oflox also. About the E. coli sensitivity, I do have my culture report in hand but I am not sure about the E. coli sensitivity.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

  • Urispas (Flavoxate) and Zerodol Spas (Drotaverine and Aceclofenac) are not the same.
  • As per your culture report instead of Ofloxacin, I suggest you take tablet Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for one week and take three tablets of Fluconazole. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and with their consent take the above medicines.
