Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 18 years old, male and I have small cuts in the inside of my lips and my tongue. They burn when I drink or eat. They look like cuts.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You have mentioned that you have got chapped lips and tongue along with a burning sensation. Considering your age, the reason for this is mostly vitamin deficiency along with stress. I advise you to apply petroleum jelly for the chapped lips more often a day to help the healing. Also, I advise you to consume green vegetables and legumes especially spinach which is a natural healing medication for such cases. And, keep yourself hydrated. Drink lots of water. No frizzy drinks, please. The above should help you in a more natural way. But in case if the burning sensation is way too much, apply Ointment Dentogel (Choline Salicylate and Lidocaine) 20 mg directly on the affected region, massage for 10 minutes and then gargle with plain water. Meanwhile, please consider Multivitamin supplements on a regular basis.
