What causes a burning sensation in the body?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My father usually jogged every morning and did regular exercise. His bowels are not clear, and the right side of his body has a burning sensation. As per the Ayurvedic doctor, his cholesterol is increasing. So, please, can you help me with some probable reasons for the above problem and their cures?

Thank you.

Answered by Dr. Alka

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Burning sensation in the body can be due to increased Pitta dosha. Moreover, your doctor's advice regarding an increased cholesterol level and prescribed treatment are also right. You can follow the same prescription you are following. He has to take treatment regularly for two or more months under supervision. These changes can be due to age or may be due to diet. So, avoid excessively spicy, oily, deep-fried food and junk food. You can also perform a blood test related to cholesterol called a lipid profile test after discussing it with your doctor.

I hope this helps.

Please revert so I can assist you further.

Thank you.
