Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a painful foot after dancing the whole night. It has bruised toes along the area of my big toe on the inside of my foot. It is painful to touch and walk. Any idea what is this?

Answered by Dr. Atul Prakash

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The possibility is that this is just a burst vein and ice and rest will help it. It could be a soft tissue bruise if you accidentally knocked your toe while dancing. It could be a fracture too. Treatment is more or less the same. I suggest you take rest, use ice, take NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), and keep your leg elevated. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and take the drugs with their consent.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
