Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have candida balanoposthitis. I consulted a doctor, and he gave me Glospor DS 200 mg for a week with Livafin ointment. But still, I am having red spots on the penis. My penis is uncircumcised. Please provide your suggestion.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please say whether you have diabetes. Please tell whether you are sexually active, with a regular partner and whether you use a condom. Please upload the appropriate images of the present condition, so that, I can guide you further.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am not diabetic, and I am not sexually active.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

At times, candidal balanoposthitis resolve with minimal erythema. It usually needs a longer course of topical antifungal cream up to three to four weeks. I have gone through the attachment (attachment removed to protect patient identity). From your clinical image, I can tell you that the majority of the infection has got subsided. Please use the prescribed creams for two more weeks. Use Onabet cream (Sertaconazole) twice daily for two weeks and take tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg once daily after dinner for two weeks. Do not wash the affected area with any antiseptic soaps, other than the regular bath.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Is there anything dangerous in my clinical image? I am allergic to Brufen content. After taking this tablet or cream, can I have anything serious?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

There is nothing dangerous in your clinical image. This is a common problem encountered in summers. The cream and tablet prescribed have no relation to Brufen, and it can be taken as prescribed. Regular use of Onabet will help you to recover completely.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
