I am using Rotacap regularly for wheezing. Will it cause frequent canker sores?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 26 years old man. Thrush or canker sore is there in the tongue, lip or mouth side. Not fever but body temperature is increasing feeling like hot. Tongue buds are burning for the past two days but thrush or canker sore is there for 15 days. When canker sore is healed, a new one (canker sore) will appear. I am taking Rotacaps.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I have gone through the history you have mentioned. These two can be the main possibilities for your problems. Vitamin B complex deficiency. This is most commonly seen folic acid, riboflavin, and niacin deficiency. So start multivitamin tablets containing these vitamins.

Since you are using Rotacaps, if your technique is not proper, it can also lead to drug deposition in the mouth which can cause these symptoms. So always follow the Rotacap technique properly and wash your mouth after every rotacap use. Do let me know your Rotacap technique. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health.
