Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 19-year-old suffering from stomach aches daily and diarrhea. I also have other symptoms, such as anemia, fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, depression, abdominal pain, heartburn, bloating, weight gain, and osteopenia. Also, my mother and uncle have celiac disease.

I tested my blood and got the results, but I did not understand them. I would like to know whether I have celiac disease or not.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

From the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), your reports are negative for celiac disease. However, what you are suffering from needs to be identified and treated.

Since you have anemia and diarrhea, you must get your stool tested for infection. Also, get your serum electrolytes checked daily.

I would suggest you consult a specialist and stay hydrated, drink ORS (oral rehydration solution) and let me know if your symptoms do not improve or worsen in a day or two. Also, get the tests done and let me know so we can identify the cause and prompt treatment can be initiated.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
