Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am experiencing tightness in the chest that comes and goes daily. It does not even last a minute. It goes away in a few seconds, almost instantly. I experience it mostly at night time. The feeling became less frequent when I used to go to the gym. I suspect it may have something to do with my digestive system since I have experienced stomach pain recently due to my irregular eating habits. I do not have any specific allergies, although not eating milk products does provide digestive relief. Would being overweight have a role in this? Also, should I take a blood test for cholesterol? Want to rule out any serious issues. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Do not worry. It is due to gaseous distention causing pressure on chest muscles, causing discomfort. Better digestion makes you feel better. It is not a serious issue. It is due to spicy and oily foods and irregular eating patterns. I suggest you do the following investigations to confirm. Do an ultrasound of the abdomen, complete blood count., liver function tests and lipid profile. Please send me the reports as you get them. Meanwhile, take lots of fresh fruits and salads. Avoid taking spicy, oily, and non-vegetarian foods for a few weeks. Eat healthily and exercise regularly. I advise you to take the following medications: Consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent. I suggest you take a capsule of Pan-D (Pantoprazole) on an empty stomach, in the morning, for seven days. Take two tablets of Gasex (Ginger, Triphala, Vidanga, Prativisha, Cowrie bhasma, Shankh bhasma, and Piper nigrum) twice daily after food for seven days. Please send me a follow-up after three days. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
