Chocolate Cyst

Chocolate cysts are noncancerous ovarian cysts formed deep within the ovaries and filled with menstrual blood. The name comes from their brown, tar-like appearance. It is also known as ovarian endometrioma. The symptoms include irregularities in menstruation and bowel movements and pain during intercourse. These cysts disappear independently, but if they don't, treatment involves contraceptive pills or surgery.
