Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My son got sick with the flu and had a fever for almost a month. His doctor said they did all the laboratories, and he is a healthy child. Is it normal for a child to have a longer duration of fever? We visited his doctor five months back regarding his fevers. At that point, he had a fever every month. Over the summer, he was healthy and fever free.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
As you already said, the problem seems to be flu and Covid. Winter season fever may be due to allergic bronchitis and secondary bacterial or viral infection.
1. Try to build immunity for him.
2. Give a high-protein diet.
3. Take a high-fiber diet.
4. Ask him to avoid dust and other allergens.
5. Wear a headband covering both ears to avoid cool air entering.
6. Try to use hot water.
7. Take steam inhalation often.
8. Take multivitamin supplements.
He will be a normal child when he grows up, and his immune system will mature.
Best wishes.
