Hi doctor,

I am suffering from running nose, sore throat, body pain and fever since yesterday. Kindly suggest some medicine for relief.

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You seem to have influenza or the common cold. Since it is viral, it will run its course. However, you can take some medications for symptomatic relief.


Differential diagnosis:

Influenza.

Probable diagnosis:

Common cold.

Treatment plan:

1. Tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once daily.
2. Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg not more than three times daily.
3. Do not take any other NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) or Aspirin as you already have acidity issues.
Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines with their consent.

Preventive measures:

Drink plenty of fluid and stay hydrated.
