Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am suffering from running nose, sore throat, body pain and fever since yesterday. Kindly suggest some medicine for relief.

Answered by Dr. Mashfika N Alam

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You seem to have influenza or the common cold. Since it is viral, it will run its course. However, you can take some medications for symptomatic relief. I hope this helps. Thank you and take care. Regards.

Differential diagnosis

The differential diagnosis is influenza.

Probable diagnosis

The probable diagnosis is the common cold.

Treatment plan

I suggest you take the tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once daily and the tablet Paracetamol 500 mg not more than three times daily. Then, consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them and start taking the medicines with their consent.

Preventive measures

Drink plenty of fluid and stay hydrated.

Regarding follow up

Regarding follow-up, consult me for further queries.
