Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My dad has a broken collarbone but cannot get it fixed, and it has been like this for months. We consulted a doctor six months back, but he is always in pain and feels terrible about himself.

Can surgery correct this problem?

Is it possible to take away the bump on his shoulder?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Please mention why your dad cannot seek medical help. Does he have any medical conditions?

If your answer is yes, a bone that has not united can be plated and bone grafted to achieve union, which would help with his pain. Also, the shape of the bone and the bump can be minimized. The exact surgical procedure will depend on the fracture's site, the bone's status, and the type of union or malunion.

Please send up-to-date X-rays for me to help you further.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
