Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 23 years old. Four years ago, I had a manual aspiration abortion. After that, I had no bleeding but a slight discharge. I felt normal after a week but had a temperature. However, I did not get periods next month. My nurse did the hCG test and said that there were minor signs of pregnancy and did an abortion again. However, she did not flush out any substance. Two days later, I had slight bleeding, like periods that lasted for two days. After a week, I began to have a white discharge that resembled cheese. Also, there was a fever and weakness. My doctor suggested tablets Flucamed and Ciprotab and capsule Renofit. The discharge has stopped, but I still have weakness, blurry vision, back pain, and pain on the side and upper part of my belly. I repeated my hCG test today, and it was cloudy. What could be the problem?

Kindly advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Your history shows you have post-miscarriage symptoms and are still on antibiotics, multivitamins, and antifungal drugs. Your symptoms like weakness, blurry vision, and back and lower abdominal pains are post-evacuation or miscarriage symptoms, along with infection. I suggest you check your vitals, like blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature. Also, get your random sugar level, serum beta hCG, complete blood count, and urinalysis done. These tests will help detect if you still have an infection in the blood or urine. Vitals will give an idea about your general body condition, and beta hCG levels will reveal the effects of pregnancy. I also suggest you get a vaginal swab test done to exclude vaginal infection. A transvaginal scan will help determine if there are any remains of conception.

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert with the reports for further guidance.

Thank you.
