Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My boyfriend and I had sex for the second time two days back which is one day after my cycle ends. We used a condom for protection. I have some pain in my vaginal area. I am currently using Lox jelly for pain relief. Will I be pregnant?
Also, my boyfriend ejaculated on time.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I do not see any chance for you to get pregnant.
Usually, the ovulation will occur only around the 12th to the 16th day of periods. Life of the egg is 24 hours and that of the sperm is 72 hours. There is no chance of the egg being available on the 8th day of the period. As you had used protection there is absolutely no chance.
The sperm will not survive until the next ovulation.
So, you need not worry and you do not need any further action. You have no chance of pregnancy unless you have any further sexual exposure.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
Regards.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
Do I need to take any i-pill for this? What about the itching in my vaginal area?
I am applying Lox jelly for relief, is it okay?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
There is no need to take an i-pill as there is no chance of pregnancy. About itching, it could be some infection from the male genitals. Lox is just Lidocaine, a local anesthetic and it can act as a lubricant. It will not help in itching.
I suggest you take capsule Candid V6 (Clotrimazole) or Cansoft-CL (Clindamycin and Clotrimazole) or Clingen Forte (Clindamycin, Clotrimazole, and Tinidazole) vaginal once at night for six nights. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and take the medicines with their consent. This will clear all the fungal and bacterial infection. You will be fine within two to three days.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
Regards.
