Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from a cough for the last two days. Irritation is there inside my neck. The cough is getting worsened day by day. I am drinking lots of water daily. Till now no medication yet. I am thinking to take one tablespoon of honey. So, I bought it today. Is it good to take honey and chyawanprash?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise. Honey has a soothing effect and it can be taken. You can also mix half teaspoon honey and half teaspoon ginger juice and take it early in the morning. Your cough could be because of posterior pharynx irritation or inflammation. For that decongestant can be taken additionally. If you have acid reflux history then mention it. Salt water gargle can be done with warm water three times a day. You can also take one teaspoon of turmeric powder with milk daily. I hope this helps. Thank you and take care. Regards.
