Q. Do symptoms like cough, cold, fever, throat pain, and chest pain suggest COVID-19 infection?

Since morning I have had symptoms like cough and cold, fever (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit), throat pain, and pain under the chest. I have never had a COVID infection before. Currently, I am taking cold and flu medication. Do these symptoms suggest that I have a COVID-19 infection?

The symptoms you are having right now are due to an infection of the respiratory tract. It could be due to bacterial origin (Streptococcal infection) or viral origin (COVID-19).
During this COVID-19 pandemic, I suggest you get tested for COVID-19. You can perform a swab test for RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) to rule out COVID-19.
I suggest you the following
1. You must take food rich in proteins, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D3, vitamin B12, and Zinc. Your nutrition will help your immune system to fight against microbes.
2. You must avoid spicy food.
3. You must take care of your hydration status. During fever, your body water content comes down, so try to replenish it.
4. You must get tested for COVID-19 and visit a physician nearby who can examine your chest using a stethoscope and prescribe appropriate medications depending upon the clinical findings.
5. You must monitor your oxygen saturation levels through a pulse oximeter.
6. You must take sufficient rest.
7. Until you get tested for COVID-19, you must stay in a separate room away from house members.
8. You must have a warm salt water gargle twice a day after toothbrushing.
Most respiratory infections are self-limiting, but still, if you develop any issues like breathing problems, I suggest you visit the nearest hospital.
