Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 33 years old. Today I tested in a laboratory, and I got a report of COVID-19 positive. I got a fever and a cough. Now in this situation, what should I do? Please prescribe me some medicines.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for the query.

I can understand your concern. According to your statement, you have been suffering from fever, cough, and your COVID-19 positive (Rt-PCR test).

Monitor your oxygen saturation rate by a pulse oximeter. If it becomes lower than 93% or suffers from respiratory distress, hospitalization may be needed for oxygen inhalation. Gargle with salt mixed warm water two to three times daily.

You can take the following medications as follows-

  • Tablet Zithromax (Azithromycin) 500 mg once daily in the night for ten days.
  • Tablet Allegra (Fexofenadine) 120 mg once daily in the night for ten days.
  • Tablet Singulair (Montelukast Sodium) 10 mg once daily in the night for 15 days.
  • Tablet Favizen (Favipiravir) 200 mg morning and night eight tablets, on day one, then morning and night three tablets, from day two to day five (total five days).

By taking the medications mentioned above, you can be able to fight against the COVID-19 virus.

In case of any other query, ask me.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for answering.

But I want to know where I can get a pulse oximeter.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thanks for joining us again.

It will be available in the shops where medical instruments are available. You can also purchase from online as in classical causes of COVID-19, the respiratory tract is usually affected, so a pulse oximeter is an essential tool for COVID-19 infected patients. Now and then, you should monitor your oxygen saturation rate by pulse oximeter to assess the respiratory function status.

Take care. I hope you will become round soon. Do not be worried at all. Take the medications mentioned above, and monitor your oxygen saturation level routinely. If any other query, knock me, and I will try to reply to you further.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
