I have a feeling of something stuck in the throat post COVID-19 treatment. Why?

Hello doctor,
I was diagnosed with COVID-19. My doctor prescribed me Dexamethasone, Famotidine 40 mg, Ab-FLO, Faronem 200 mg, and Zeet syrup. These medicines I took for 13 days as advised by the doctor. After that, lots of acne arises on my face. So I went to the dermatologist, and he recommended to take Doxycycline 100 mg once a day and Clindamycin Erytop for 20 days and to use Ahglow face wash.
My concern is for the past four to five days, and I feel something stuck in my throat. Food and medicines are not going down. I have pain also in the back of my neck and shoulders. My doctor advised me to take Pantocid DSR on an empty stomach once for 10 days, Livolin Forte twice daily for 10 days. Still, after taking Pantocid, it is stuck in my throat. Please help. As because of this, I am not able to eat properly.

First of all, let me congratulate you on being a COVID-19 survivor. Allopathic medicines have effects as well as side effects. They have side effects because they are effective. The acne that you had was probably the side effect of Dexamethasone (corticosterioid) that you took for COVID-19. The feeling of something stuck in the throat may be due to inflammation or ulcer in the esophagus or food pipe, which have developed due to Dexamethasone and may have aggravated due to Doxycycline (antibiotic).
The doctor has rightly prescribed you Pantocid DSR (proton pump inhibitor), which will help in healing also decrease acid production. I would suggest that you take syrup Sucral -O 10 ml four times daily, and if you are not getting relief in five days, you should consult a gastroenterologist for an upper GI endoscopy.

Mucaine gel has only Oxetacaine, Aluminium hydroxide, and Milk of magnesium. Sucral O has Sucralfate as well, which is good for mucosal healing. Mucaine will help only in pain relief, but Sucral O will help in pain relief and mucosal healing. Also, please take only a soft semisolid diet for at least two weeks.

Yes, you can take both Pantocid DSR and Sucral O. Take Pantocid before food and Sucral O after food. This Livolin forte is a multivitamin and mineral that you can stop for now and take after your neck pain goes away. Pain in the neck and shoulder can occur in the inflammation of the esophagus.
Take a soft liquid diet. If you are not getting better within a week, consult a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy.
