Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old unmarried male. I have a problem with my penis. On erection, the head and shaft appear tilted 20 to 30 degrees anti-clockwise. There is also a slight bend to the right side. On erection, the penis is 14 cm in length. The head appears tilted a bit while in flaccid condition too. There is no problem or pain during masturbation or erection. While peeing, the urine goes right if I do not use my hand to hold it. Is it a serious issue? I am worried about the shape and if this would affect my sex life in the future.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. A curved penis towards the right left or downward is normal. This mostly happens due to masturbation. For people who use their right hand for masturbation, their penis will be curved to the left and the opposite with left handlers. There are other reasons too. This phenomenon is quite normal, and there is nothing to worry about. In fact, a curved penis will give you more pleasure when you engage in vaginal intercourse than a straight penis simply because curvature provides more friction.

Thank you.
