Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am hearing about a disease outbreak, specifically cutaneous anthrax. Can you provide personalized information on cutaneous anthrax, including how it spreads, symptoms, and any preventive measures I can take based on my location and health considerations during this outbreak?

Thank you.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Cutaneous anthrax is not really common and outbreaks are also very rare, so you should not be worried about it but if you are suspecting and there are positive cases then I would suggest you take a few measures such as avoiding close contact with an infected person and do not make skin contact with the infected person. You should also use a mask if you are coming in contact with positive cases of cutaneous anthrax. If you develop any symptoms like fever or rashes or blister-like rashes on your body, then you should go for a check-up immediately. I suggest you take a high-protein diet to maintain a good immune system. If your immune system is good, then you will not get infections easily, so these are the preventive methods you can use.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
