Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have many dark spots on my legs. And many small white spots on my hands and legs. They are because of the mosquito bites. I have been told that I am allergic to mosquitos. I have tried many creams and medicines, but nothing seems to work. My mother had the same allergy. And just because of this allergy, her skin has become quite dark. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen your query and concern and examined your pictures (attachments removed for patient's identity protection). It seems you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation(PIH).

PIH persist for a short duration in light skin individuals, but in darker individuals, these PIH persist for a longer duration may, be for two to three weeks, but this duration can be cured by using depigmenting cream and sunscreen and also sun protection

You can use Depiwhite cream or Adapalene gel 0.1 % during the night daily and also use Noncomedogenic sunscreens like Face guard or Sucrose soft gel with SPF 50 + during the morning hours all over the face after taking a bath repeat once after four hours.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
