Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 23-year-old female. I will be traveling for 15 days, and I will get my period on the 13th day during my travel. I want to postpone my menstruation using the Steronate tablet and delay it until I return home. What is the dosage of Steronate I should take per day, and when should I start taking the tablet? Please do suggest me regarding the dosage.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It is preferable to use drugs to postpone periods at least seven days in advance for regular periods and ten days in advance for irregular periods. Steronate is well known for regular contraception, which is used for 21 days or more. I suggest you take Primolut-N (Norethisterone) tablet 10 mg tablets twice daily for seven to ten days before the estimated period date.

Primolute-N (Norethisterone) is a synthetic progesterone that can be taken twice daily from December 5th to December 20th. When you stop taking medication, it stops providing support, and you will experience withdrawal bleeding within 7-10 days at most. You may experience some irregular periods in the following days, but they will eventually return to normal as the body rids itself of the hormonal influence.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards.
