Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a sore tooth, and the pain is in the tooth itself. There is no discoloration, cracks or breaks, gum swelling, redness, and nothing stuck between the gum and tooth. Just a ridiculous amount of pain directly on the tooth itself. What could this be?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your question, and I can understand your concern.

You have not mentioned which tooth. If it is the front lower one, it may be because of deep bite malocclusion. If it is any of the back regions, it can be because of root fracture (severe pain) otherwise, you have either bitten a hard substance. Also, make sure you do not clinch during the night.

Sometimes muscle tenderness also presents like tooth pain. Rule out the cause and mention which one you do feel above one, and a treatment plan may be provided accordingly.

I hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further questions.
