Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I did not sleep for the past few months. I did not have proper food. Even if I am hungry, I could not eat. I had been through a fight with my family as well as my fiance. I do not want to leave, but I want to know how I can divert myself. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for the query. When a person goes through an emotional upheaval, he or she is liable to experience a number of symptoms such as sadness, loss of sleep, and loss of appetite. Regarding distracting yourself, keep yourself engaged in some activities like a hobby or study or professional work. In case if your mind still wanders to unpleasant memories, then you can practice a simple distraction technique. Whenever some unpleasant thought enters your mind, you should concentrate or think about some happy memory. Thus you can keep yourself distracted. Also, in case you feel the need of some medication, I suggest you try Mirtazapine. It will help in cases of insomnia, improved appetite as well as an uplifted mood. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and take medicine with their consent. I hope this helps. Take care. Feel free to drop a query anytime. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
