Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a senior citizen. I have not been feeling well. I have dizziness when getting up, feeling of nausea, do not have fever but body is feeling hot, and normal blood pressure. This has been going on for the last five days.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query in detail and understand your concern. There can be multiple causes of dizziness. To list a few, the causes can be hypertension, hypotension, anxiety, stress, hypothyroidism, hypoglycemia, and heart abnormalities. Now, we need to rule out the cause among these in order to reach a conclusion. This can be established with a few very basic tests like blood sugar, ECG (echocardiography), and thyroid function tests. Once the abnormality is detected, treatment can be started and you will be cured.

But for now, I suggest taking the following medications.

1. Tablet Diziron D (Cinnarizine 20 mg and Dimenhydrinate 40 mg) one tablet twice daily.

2. Tablet Vertin 16 mg (Betahistine 8 mg) one tablet thrice daily.

In the meantime, I advise you to get the tests done. Please share the reports with me or your local physician.

Hope this helps. Kindly revert in case of further queries.
