My puppy bit my finger. What is my risk of rabies?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Yesterday, my puppy bit my finger. The dog was vaccinated. Should I take injections?

Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

If your dog has been vaccinated, your dog is immune to rabies. So, you do not need a rabies vaccination if your dog is immune to rabies.

Take the Tetanus toxoid (TT) injection if not taken.

Take care.

Thank you.
