Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am an 18-year-old girl having duodenitis, stomach edema, mild gastritis, and colitis. I started to have recurrent stomach pain from 11 years of age. I did colonoscopy and endoscopy. The doctor told that my report seems to be special and he had never seen anything like this. He told me that I have lymphatic tissue in the terminal ileum. Before knowing the diagnosis, I thought that I have IBS. After some time, it became worse. I missed my exams due to doctor's appointment and stomach issues. I took Apriso and it helped me a lot.
The problem got better but it came back after I start to have a period or after I masturbate. I also have bad stomach cramps and heavy periods. I have diarrhea, dizziness, hot flashes, shaking, and sometimes nausea along with it. I have two autoimmune diseases alopecia areata and asthma, with depression and anxiety. Stress can be a big indicator for having small stomach flare-ups. Is there any medicine that can help me? Is there any diagnosis after going through my symptoms?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. You have inflammation in the stomach and the other parts of the abdomen seem to be fine. But you have cramps after you get periods or after masturbation. You can have a pelvic inflammatory disease as you are getting heavy menstrual bleeding. So it can be controlled by taking medication and I suggest you consult a gynecologist soon. When you have cramps, you can take tablet Ibuprofen (NSAID) 400 mg once after taking a meal and tablet Pantoprazole (proton pump inhibitor) 40 mg before taking a meal. It will help to reduce the symptoms. Kindly revert back with the reports of colonoscopy and endoscopy done.
