Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 28-year-old male. My height is 6 feet and 4 inches. My ears seem blocked, and I cannot hear very well.
I do not know what to do. I have no other symptoms like fever or ear pain.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Did you suffer from a cold or flu a few days ago before ear blockage?
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply,
I had COVID-19 infection a month ago.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Sneezing and a runny nose can easily cause eustachian tube dysfunction. So, the blockage you have is commonly a complication of the COVID-19 infection. I suggest you take the tablet Alphintern (Trypsin and Chymotrypsin) three times daily and a nasal decongestant for five days (consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent).
The nasal drops must be applied inside the nose in a supine position to allow the drops to reach the eustachian tubes. If the blockage still exists, you should undergo pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and an endoscopic ear examination to evaluate the condition of your middle ears and cochlear nerves.
