Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Electrocardiogram (ECG) shows low voltage with QRS 86 mm. I am physically fit and active, with no such issue a year ago. What could be the cause and solution?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Could you upload your electrocardiogram (ECG) picture? It must be 86 msec. Low voltage ECG may be seen as a normal variant, also seen in obese individuals, smokers, or patients with heart disease like fluid around the heart or in lung disease. But, if you do not have any symptoms, it is likely a normal variant. Patients with a disease will have other symptoms too.

Thank you for consulting me.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for reply,

Yes, it is 86. I have uploaded my electrocardiogram (ECG).

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

What is your weight? Electrocardiogram is fine. There is nothing to worry about electrocardiogram (ECG) (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

Thank you for consulting me.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am not obese, a non-smoker, and do not have any history of heart issues. I am 163 pounds.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is fine. Low voltage only in some peripheral leads, so this much variation is fine. It does not suggest any particular abnormalities.

Thank you for consulting me.
