Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been masturbating at least once every day for a while now, and recently I have been having difficulty getting a full erection or maintaining it through the duration of intercourse with my partner. Are these correlated, can this be due to repeated masturbation, without letting my body recover? And will I be able to get erections like I used to if I give masturbation a break? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED).

The reasons for erectile dysfunction (ED) can be:

1 Stress due to work or family-related, night duties – plan for regular exercise and yoga.

2 Depression.

3 Varicocele – ultrasound scrotum can help in diagnosing it.

4 Fear of failure - having one episode of ED (erectile dysfunction) once may make you feel you will end up with ED.

5 Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation).

6 Homosexuality – attracted to the same sex.

7 Religious constraints.

7 Smoking and alcohol.

8 Long-term illness – cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication.

9 Simple vitamin deficiency – you can use tablets Zincovit and Shelcal.

10 Negative attitude towards your partner.

11 Hormonal issue – thyroid issue, low testosterone, increased prolactin.

12 Long-term drug usage.

13 Diabetes and hypertension.

I would suggest you check Doppler penis, USG (ultrasonography) pelvis, and scrotum, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), Free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), testosterone, TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). Share more details regarding the above reasons so that we can work on diagnosis and treatment. You need to plan for regular exercise and a proper diet as well. I would also suggest the following:

Some basic exercises: Kegels, squats, yoga, running, or fast walking for five minutes.

Missionary sex possession: planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, glute bridges.

Standing sex position: bicep curls, pull-ups, jump squats.

Doggy style: jump squats, walking lunge.

Cowgirl or the girl on the top move: glute bridges, leg raises.

Food: strawberry, apple, avocado, sweet potato, sesame seed, almond, garlic, and little chocolate.

For a temporary solution, you can use the tablet Mildfil (tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
