Will having sexual intercourse with anal warts harm us?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I was born a male, but since my early adolescence, I have been living as a woman. I come from a traditional background, so I could only start my transition when I moved from my parent's house and went abroad. I started a hormone treatment 15 years back. I had few sexual partners before seven years. Hormones affected me, and I rarely had any penis erection during intercourse. Seven years back, I was forced back to my parent's house, so I stopped my hormone treatment. I also kept a steady relationship with another woman like me from my home city. I was hoping that over the years, I would be able to get normal penis erections since I stopped hormone treatment, but sadly I am not able to. When I am aroused, I can get maybe a 50% erection, and when I have an orgasm, there is almost no seed coming out.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to get erections back?

I am currently feeling very depressed since I was also diagnosed with anal warts. So there is no ability to have anal intercourse anymore and my sexual life has come to a complete stop. My partner and I would also like to ask if having anal intercourse with my condition can create harm for either me or her. I attached some pictures that can better describe my condition. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

The treatment for your erection depends upon your male hormone level. Please get your male hormone level estimated. Testosterone peaks during adolescence and early adulthood. As you get older, your testosterone level gradually declines, typically about 1 percent a year after age 30. Coming to your second part of the question regarding warts, I suggest Podofilox solution or gel application to visible genital warts twice a day for three days, followed by four days of no therapy. As necessary, this cycle can be repeated for up to four cycles. The total wart area treated should not exceed 10 square centimeters, and the total volume of Podofilox should be limited to 0.5 mL per day. Please consult a doctor, discuss with them and then start taking the medications with their consent.

Thank you and take care.
